Types of teats:

Vented vs Air-Filled Teats

Vented Teats contain air holes that allow airflow. This allows the teat to flatten naturally in your baby’s mouth.

Air-filled teats are designed to prevent airflow, which can support a more secure and effective latch. This design may be particularly beneficial for infants with tongue or lip ties, high palates, latching challenges, or increased feeding sensitivity.

As per CMC Gold recommendations, whilst pacifiers are known for providing babies with great comfort and help prevent tricky habits like thumb-sucking, they recommend phasing out pacifiers by the age of 2 years.

These dummies have been designed and lab tested in accordance to AS2432:2015 and AS/NZS ISO8124.3 standards.

Product Care Instructions:

• Sterilisers of any kind should NOT be used.

• Place dummy in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes, no longer.

• Remove it and let air dry. Do not leave dummy submerged in water longer than the 5 minutes recommended as this may cause the natural rubber teat to thin out sooner.

• Avoid boiling the dummy over a stove, as this could melt the dummies.

• For detailed instructions, follow the guidelines provided on the side and inside of the packaging.

• Keep the dummy out of direct sunlight.

Replacement Time:

It is recommended that all dummies be replaced every 4–6 weeks. Over time, they may begin to show signs of wear, such as swelling or a sticky texture. These are clear indicators of material deterioration and signal that the dummy should be replaced to ensure continued safety and hygiene.

Important Information:

Please be aware that due to hygiene reasons, dummies cannot be refunded.

The packing of each dummy will contain a best before date. Please avoid using the dummies beyond this time.

• Discontinue use if the cover becomes damaged or worn

For your child’s safety:

• Check carefully for any loose or damaged parts before each use.
• Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.
• Never lengthen the pacifier holder. As per mandatory standards chains cannot exceed a maximum length of 22cm. Please refer to our Product Safety for more information.
• Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces or loose parts of clothing. The child may be strangled.
• Always remove the soother holder when the child is sleeping.
• Do not use when the baby is in a cot, bed or crib.
• Attach only to a garment.
• Do not use as a teether or toy.
• Use only under adult supervision.

Care instructions:

Wipe pacifier chain with a warm damp cloth and dry thoroughly before every use. Do NOT submerge in water. Do not sterilise, soak or put in the dishwasher.

• Throughly inspect the pacifier chain & clip before each use. Physically pull, twist & bend the chain to ensure no signs of wear, weakness or damage. Open and close the clip to ensure it still operates as intended.

• Check the silicone beads aren’t able to be pulled off the chain. (My Nooshies encourages the use of a wooden bead at the end of the pacifier chain to prevent beads sliding off).

Recommendations:

Only clip your pacifier chain onto T shirt like materials. Avoid clipping it onto thicker materials like jumpers as it will stretch the clamp and therefore alter the mechanism and intended function; resulting in sooner need of replacement. We will not replace any chains or their components that have been misused as this is not considered faulty.
